Photography

"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce."
- Karl Lagerfeld

“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
– Ansel Adams

I've been taking photos ever since I was around 10 years old, starting out with a Kodak Brownie which used a 127 roll film! I started off with black & white as it was cheaper back then and my photos tended to include my fingers and thumbs, which wasn't great. Hopefully I've moved on a bit from then. I really got interested when my brother bought me my first 35mm camera. It was a Zenit E, very basic, but built to last. I progressed with various different models, including a spell using a medium format Bronica when I dabbled with wedding photography for a few of years in the late 80's early 90's.  I finally made the leap from 35mm film to Digital, settling on my preferred brand, Canon.

My main interests are shooting images of our two dogs, which certainly keeps me on my toes, as well as motorsport and nature photography. There are many other subjects that I also take an interest in and although I've been taking photos for more than 40 years I still learn something new almost every time I take my camera out.

I hope you enjoy the images that I have included on this website.
